Endometriosis and Cassia Senna

As we mentioned in previous articles, endometriosis growing somewhere else other than the endometrium also reacts to hormonal signals of the monthly menstrual cycle by building up tissue, breaking it, and eliminating it through the menstrual period. As we know, herbs play a very important role in some cultures in treating all kinds of diseases. In this article, we will discuss how cassia senna helps to treat endometriosis.

I. Definition
Cassia senna is a plant that grows in the wet tropics of China, Indochina, the east and west Indies, and Central America. It has been used in Chinese medicine in treating constipation by stimulating the peristaltic movements of the colon.
II. How cassia senna effects endometriosis

1. Liver support
Cassia senna is said to strengthen the liver's functions through it's detoxification ability, thereby increasing the production of bile to the intestines which helps to increase blood flow to the abdomen resulting in lessening the cramps caused by overactive uterine muscles.

2. Digestive system
It is said that cassia senna also helps improve the function of the digestive system which increases the digestive absorption of vital vitamins and minerals that are found deficient in women with endometriosis during menstrual cycle.

3. Spleenomegaly
If women with endometriosis are found to have sleenomegaly, it not only increases the pain in the abdomen during menstrual cramps, but also elevates the risk of infection. Cassia senna helps to reduce the nervous tension resulting in lessening the symptom of sleenomegaly.

4. Anemia
Cassia senna also helps in aiding the spleen and liver in production of blood and red blood cells. Without it, it causes anemia for women with heavy flow during menstruation.

5. Respiratory System
It also helps to improve the absorption of oxygen for the respiratory system by promoting drainage of mucus from the lungs by thinning the mucus from the respiratory tract.

Since endometriosis is treatable and manageable by natural remedies and a self help course, if you have endometroisis, please look on the bright side.
